At Cobbler Creek OSHC, we are committed to continuously enhancing our environment to support children’s wellbeing, interests, and engagement.
Through intentional planning and in response to children’s voices and feedback, we have introduced a range of thoughtfully designed spaces across the service. These environments provide children with choice, promote independence, and support a variety of play and learning experiences throughout the afternoon.
Our outdoor environment has been enhanced with the addition of a new pirate ship and sandpit, creating rich opportunities for imaginative play, exploration, and social connection. These spaces encourage collaboration, creativity, and sustained shared play.
Our senior children (Years 3–6) have access to the school library, offering a calm and welcoming space that supports relaxation, quiet engagement, and self-regulation after the school day.
We are also developing “The Nest”, located within our parent sign in/out area, as a calm and responsive environment designed to support children’s emotional wellbeing. This space provides opportunities for children to decompress, regulate, and feel a strong sense of safety and belonging.
In addition, we are creating a dedicated games and play space that supports construction, dramatic, and imaginative play, alongside a range of board games that promote social interaction, problem-solving, and cooperative play.
These environments are intentionally designed to be flexible and inclusive, supporting children’s agency, relationships, and overall wellbeing. They reflect our ongoing commitment to providing a high-quality OSHC program where every child feels safe, supported, and connected.
